Week of November 14, 2022 

  • STATE FINALS WEEK IS HERE! – Everything we’ve worked for since band camp will be ready to perform this Sunday, November 20th, at 10:15 AM at Broward County Stadium.  This year we go up against 19 other bands in the most competitive class, 3A!  
  • Monday and Wednesday this week will be in the backfield. It is important that everyone attends our final rehearsal for the field show on Saturday, followed by our community sendoff performance.

Monday 11/14: 

  • Winds: In-class – Concert Band 
  • 5 PM – Sectionals 
  • 6 PM – Marching Band Rehearsal (Backfield) 

Tuesday 11/15: 

  • Winds: In-class Marching Band 

Wednesday 11/16: 

  • Winds: In-class – Concert Band 
  • 4:00 PM – Leadership Meeting 
  • 5:00 PM – Sectionals 
  • 6:00 PM – Marching Band Rehearsal (Backfield) 

Thursday 11/17: 

  • Winds: In-class Marching Band 

Friday 11/18: 

  • Winds: In-class Concert Band 
  • Friday night performance 
  • 4:30 PM Report time

Saturday 11/19: 

  • 9 AM – 5 PM – Marching Band Rehearsal 
  • 7 PM – Community Sendoff Performance 

Sunday 11/20: STATE FINALS 

  • 5:30 AM – Call time (Arrive on time, our district school buses drive VERY slow) • 6:00 AM – departure for Broward County Stadium 
  • 8:50 AM – check-in (buses will remain on-site until the conclusion of preliminary  performances) 
  • 9:18 AM – warm-up 
  • 10:00 AM – Move to Staging 
  • 10:15 AM – Performance 
  • 10:30 AM – load trailer/leadership remains in uniform 
  • 12:00 PM – Lunch break/Return to the stadium to watch Prelims • 2:30 PM – Seniors/Leadership return to the field 
  • 2:45 PM – Prelims awards, finals schedule announced 

If Finals placement is achieved, the following schedule will be followed. If not, we  will depart for Naples immediately following the Preliminaries Award Ceremony 

  • 4:06 PM – earliest potential check-in time for Finals 
  • 5:30 PM – earlier potential performance time for Finals 
  • 8:18 PM – latest potential check-in time for Finals 
  • 9:42 PM – latest potential performance time for Finals 
  • 10:10 PM – Finals Awards 
  • 11:30 PM – Load buses 
  • 11:45 PM – Depart for NHS (latest departure time)
