Vincent Laz – Director of Bands

Mr. Vincent Laz, has recently taken on the role of band director at Naples High School. A proud alumnus of the school, where he first developed his passion for music, Mr. Laz has come full circle in his career. After earning his B.S. in Music Education from the University of South Florida, he is now returning to his roots to guide the next generation of Golden Eagles. As he embarks on his teaching career, Mr. Laz brings a blend of personal experience and professional training, aiming to inspire and elevate the school’s band program to new heights. His unique perspective as a former student of Naples High School enriches his approach, promising an exciting and impactful tenure for the students.

Marilyn Tacktill

Marilyn TacktillMarilyn has been working with the Naples High band since 2021 specializing in instructing the high brass section. After graduating from Cape Coral High School and participating in competition in the FMBC and FFCC circuits she now resides at Florida Gulf Coast University as a Music Education major. She is a registered substitute teacher in Lee county where she has worked with students in every grade level throughout the school district and she loves to spend her free time with her three dogs. Marilyn is a passionate and developing educator with a deep love and dedication to the Naples High Band Program.

Ralph Rodriguez

Ralph RodriguezRalph Rodriguez is a brass tech here at Naples High School. He graduated from Naples in 2021 and am currently attending FGCU for a Bachelors in Music Education.” He has been offering private lessons for students on the side.

Johnny Mixon-Sayah

Johnny Mixon-SayahJohnny Mixon-Sayah is a percussion tech here at Naples high school. He graduated from Naples in 2019 and received his B.S degree in Computer Science in 2023. He has been helping out our battery get into shape.

Jennifer McGuire

Jennifer McGuireMrs. McGuire works with the Color Guard at Naples High School.
 In the past, she has been on staff with multiple groups in Michigan while studying Dance Performance at Eastern Michigan University.
She also has had the pleasure of working with several groups locally in southwest Florida.
When Mrs. McGuire isn’t working with the Color Guard , she enjoys spending time with her amazing family, which includes her husband Steven and two kids, Eliana and Brady.
