Steve McGuire, Director of Bands

Mr. McGuire is in his sixth year as a professional music educator and his first year as Director of Bands with the Naples High School band program. Previously he served as Assistant Director of Bands at Gulf Coast High School.
Mr. McGuire holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Eastern Michigan University. He has teaching experience in both Florida and Michigan, including Plymouth-Canton Education Park High School (Michigan) and Mariner High School (Florida).
He is a member of the FBA, the FMEA, and the NAfME.
When not making music, Mr. McGuire enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children.
Tristan Rosal – Assistant Band Director
Tristan is a proud alumnus of the Naples High School class of 2015 and has been working with the band as a visual technician since 2017. A Naples native, he currently attends Florida Gulf Coast University, where he studies music education. He is an Eagle Scout and previously taught music at Seacrest Country Day School. He is an avid outdoorsman, saxophonist, and above all, a teacher.
Thomas Sculthorpe, Director of Percussion
Thomas Sculthorpe is an active educator in the Southwest Florida area, Most recently holding the position of percussion director at Cape Coral High School. Thomas has over 10 years of experience in the marching arts activity as a performer, educator, and arranger. He is also a show designer/battery arranger with the newly established Apex Show Designs.
Tommy has a passion for youth services and is an affiliate board member with Seminar for tomorrow’s leaders. A rotary run leadership Seminar based out of Lakeland Florida which prepares incoming seniors in positions of importance on how to better themselves and those around them.
In his free time, Tommy enjoys spending time with his family, playing video games, and following professional sports.
Analia Rodriguez (Coach Rod) – Color Guard Staff
Analia (Coach Rod) has been a dancer her whole life, She started when she was 3 and danced through college. She was a part of the Naples High Eaglettes freshman year in 2010 through 2014, when she graduated. In college, Coach Rod was on a dance crew performing around Lakeland, and at school events. She went to school for exercise science and then started at Naples High in the ESE department in early 2020. When she is not working or at practice, she loves being with her family, taking her dog to the park, and watching TV. Analia says she is “so excited to be a part of the Naples High guard team!”
